RETIREES
FHWA Retirees
From the Board

George Ostensen
Board Chair
Welcome to the FHWA Retiree Website
This website is your connection to a group of retirees who were once and will
always be part of the FHWA’s Family. Each year we enjoy reuniting with other
FHWA retirees at our annual reunions which are held all across the Nation. We
move our reunions from east coast to west coast and to the midlands of the
central US. There you’ll find us celebrating our times together as former FHWA
employees and as current retirees.
As you may know, we are a totally volunteer organization and our mission is to
celebrate together once per year, catch up on old times, all while mixing in what’s
going on in our current lives. It’s an informal gathering, lighthearted and a fun
time together, and All are welcome. FHWA Retirees Is not for some elite group of
former FHWA “bigwigs” – It is for you.

Tucson, AZ
April 27 - May 1

Registration is now open!

Your Arizona hosts are pleased to extend this invitation to the 2025 FHWA Retirees Reunion to be held in beautiful Tucson, Arizona, April 27 – May 1, 2025.

Tucson (The Old Pueblo) is a great city to visit and explore some of the world’s top attractions and Arizona’s best kept secrets. During our tour on Tuesday, you will discover the beauty of the Sonoran Desert and learn how diverse a living desert can be at the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum. You will also travel thru time to unique architectural and legacy of the Mission San Xavier del Bac. If that is not enough, use your spare time to experience a century of military and aerospace history with over 300 vintage and modern aircraft at the Pima Air and Space Museum, or you may wish to travel to Tombstone where the wild, wild west lives on.

The reunion will be held at the beautiful WYNDAM Westward Look Resort and Spa, located on the north side of Tucson about 35 minutes from Tucson International Airport. The hotel is located on 80 acres of desert oasis in the pristine Sonoran Desert. Originally built as a hacienda-style family home in 1912, the Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa offers an upscale Southwestern experience with modern conveniences.

Each of the 241 well-appointed rooms offers a private balcony with breathtaking views of the surrounding desert landscape. The location near Sabino Canyon, Saguaro National Park and
Tucson Mall put you in easy reach of many of Tucson's best attractions. Indulge in a soothing treatment at the Sonoran Spa or savor local flavors at the on-site restaurants. Refresh in one of three sparkling pools or unwind in the hot tubs after day of exploring the nature paths on horseback.

We are anxiously awaiting your arrival.

Went to this horrible bar called the fiddle. It was really a vile inn.
-
I don’t always roll a joint, but when I do, its usually my ankle.
-
I’m fat but I identify as skinny. I’m trans-slender
-
I tried to remarry my ex-wife, but she figured out I was only after my money.
-
A huge stack of toilet rolls fell on me at the supermarket. I’m Ok though, only soft tissue damage.
